The focus of this research is to determine the effectiveness of surveillance in the workplace, in preventing threats from within and outside an organization.
In other to achieve this, employees from different organizations and countries were interviewed. Their opinions on the various surveillance methods were discussed and also the effectiveness of these methods - if they actually help the employers meet their targets. After the analysis of the gathered results, it is discovered that surveillance is not enough as a stand-alone security measure. It needs to be combined with other security measures in other to have a robust security system that can mitigate threats from outside and within the network.
