First-in-Human Study of 68 Ga-DOTA-Siglec-9, PET Ligand Targeting Vascular Adhesion Protein 1
Sialic acid-binding immunoglubulin-like lectin 9 (Siglec-9) is a ligand of vascular adhesion protein 1 (VAP-1). A gallium 68-labeled peptide of Siglec-9, 68Ga-DOTA-Siglec-9, holds promise as a novel PET tracer ...
Vascular Adhesion Protein-1: A Cell Surface Amine Oxidase in Translation
Significance: Vascular adhesion protein-1 (VAP-1) is an ectoenzyme that oxidates primary amines in a reaction producing also hydrogen peroxide. VAP-1 on the blood vessel endothelium regulates leukocyte extravasation from ...
Vascular Adhesion Protein-1 Determines the Cellular Properties of Endometrial Pericytes
Vascular adhesion protein-1 (VAP-1) is an inflammation-inducible adhesion molecule and a primary amine oxidase involved in immune cell trafficking. Leukocyte extravasation into tissues is mediated by adhesion molecules ...
Adventures in radiosynthesis of clinical grade [68Ga]Ga-DOTA-Siglec-9
We finally managed to establish a protocol for generating Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)-grade gallium-68-labelled 1,4,7,0-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7,10-tetraacetic acid conjugated sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like ...
Stage I-IV Colorectal Cancer Prognosis Can Be Predicted by Type and Number of Intratumoral Macrophages and CLEVER-1(+) Vessel Density
Simple Summary Tumor-associated macrophages can either promote or prevent cancer growth depending on factors such as macrophage polarization status, tumor type, and disease stage. Macrophages and vessels interact with each ...
Nonclinical Characterization of Bexmarilimab, a Clever-1-Targeting Antibody for Supporting Immune Defense Against Cancers
Common lymphatic endothelial and vascular endothelial receptor-1 (Clever-1) is a multifunctional type-1 transmembrane protein that plays an important role in immunosuppression against tumors. Clever-1 is highly expressed ...
[Ga-68]Ga-DOTA-Siglec-9 Detects Pharmacodynamic Changes of FAP-Targeted IL2 Variant Immunotherapy in B16-FAP Melanoma Mice
Vascular adhesion protein-1 (VAP-1) is an inflammation-inducible adhesion molecule, which supports contact between leukocytes and inflamed endothelium. There is evidence that VAP-1 is involved in the recruitment of leukocytes ...
Genome-wide association study of circulating interleukin 6 levels identifies novel loci
<p>Interleukin 6 (IL-6) is a multifunctional cytokine with both pro- and anti-inflammatory properties with a heritability estimate of up to 61%. The circulating levels of IL-6 in blood have been associated with an increased risk of complex disease pathogenesis. We conducted a two-staged, discovery and replication meta genome-wide association study (GWAS) of circulating serum IL-6 levels comprising up to 67428 (ndiscovery=52654 and nreplication=14774) individuals of European ancestry. The inverse variance fixed effects based discovery meta-analysis, followed by replication led to the identification of two independent loci, IL1F10/IL1RN rs6734238 on chromosome (Chr) 2q14, (Pcombined=1.8x10-11), HLA-DRB1/DRB5 rs660895 on Chr6p21 (Pcombined=1.5x10-10) in the combined meta-analyses of all samples. We also replicated the IL6R rs4537545 locus on Chr1q21 (Pcombined=1.2x10-122). Our study identifies novel loci for circulating IL-6 levels uncovering new immunological and inflammatory pathways that may influence IL-6 pathobiology.</p>...
Self-Synthesizing Nanorods from Dynamic Combinatorial Libraries against Drug Resistant Cancer
Molecular self-assembly has been widely used to develop nanocarriers for drug delivery; however, most have unsatisfactory drug loading capacity (DLC) and the dilemma between stimuli-responsiveness and stability, stagnating ...
A plasma metabolite score of three eicosanoids predicts incident type 2 diabetes: a prospective study in three independent cohorts
<p><b>Introduction </b>Peptide markers of inflammation have been associated with the development of type 2 diabetes. The role of upstream, lipid-derived mediators of inflammation such as eicosanoids, remains less clear. ...
