Tiivistelmä
Ammonia (NH3) has emerged as a promising hydrogen carrier due to it’s high energy density, zero carbon emissions and ease of transport. Ammonia cracking, the process of decomposing NH3 into hydrogen (H2) and (N2) plays a crucial role in expanding ammonia based hydrogen systems. The thesis studies existing and emerging ammonia cracking technologies, including both catalytic and non- catalytic methods to evaluate their efficiency, scalability and workability for sustainable hydrogen production.
