Tiivistelmä

During the standardization of the Third Generation Partnership Project-Long Term Evolution (3GPP-LTE), with lower Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR), Discrete Fourier Transform Spread Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFT-S-OFDM) has been the core technology to implement Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) scheme. At present, most of the research is based on theory and computer simulations, but Software Defined Radio (SDR) could provide the better platform for the further research, optimization of the technology and performance testing under the practical wireless environment. This thesis combines the Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) and LabVIEW to build the communication platform based on DFT-S-OFDM technology. On the basis of considering real environment, the modules of transmitter and receiver are designed in details. It achieves the point-to-point communication system and tests the real transmission effect. With changing the modulation type, this thesis explores the reflection on this system and shows the performance of transmission under indoor wireless channel. The construction of this platform is helpful to further understand the performance of DFT-SOFDM technology in practical channel, and it could be more beneficial to research the related algorithms on the basis of this platform in the future.
