The article is an introduction to the field of both representation of the Roma in Finnish literature and literature written by the Roma, with the focus on the writer and visual artist Kiba Lumberg. The latter part of the article concentrates on Lumberg's trilogy Memesa (2004-2008) and offers its reading from a post-colonial and feminist perspective.
